Health and Safety
RJD Interiors has a structured pro-active approach to health and safety that involves all in the company. This ensures every individual’s skills and experience are used to help build on existing best practices and promote an incident free, positive health and safety environment. This protects all employees, other trades on site and members of the public that could be affected by our work.
Our dedicated project managers are responsible for safe working practices on site and ensuring our health and safety guidelines and policies are always followed. RJD Interiors also receives specialist advice on all health and safety matters from Citation plc.
All our staff hold relevant CSCS cards.
Recent courses our employees have attended and passed are:
- CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) – the UK Contractor’s Group (UKCG), require that from January 2010 ALL supervisors working on their sites can demonstrate that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to supervise their workers effectively.
- Asbestos Awareness Course – Certified by UKATA, trained by Encompassed.
- Manual Handling Course – Trained by Symphony Assessment – CITB approved.
Health and Safety Policy Statement
The following is a statement of the organisation’s health and safety policy in accordance with Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
It is the policy of R J D Interiors Limited (Interior fit out specialists) to ensure so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of all employees working for the company and other persons who may be affected by our undertakings.
R J D Interiors Limited acknowledges that the key to successful health and safety management requires an effective policy, organisation and arrangements, which reflect the commitment of senior management. To maintain that commitment, we will continually measure, monitor and revise where necessary, an annual plan to ensure that health and safety standards are adequately maintained.
The Managing Director will implement the company’s health and safety policy and recommend any changes to meet new circumstances. R J D Interiors Limited (Interior fit out specialists) recognizes that successful health and safety management contributes to successful business performance and will allocate adequate finances and resources to meet these needs.
The management of R J D Interiors Limited looks upon the promotion of health and safety measures as a mutual objective for themselves and employees. It is therefore, the policy of management to do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent personal injury and damage to property. Also, the organisation aims to protect everyone, including visitors and members of the public, insofar as they come into contact with our activities, from any foreseeable hazard or danger.
All employees have duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and are informed of their personal responsibilities to take due care of the health and safety of themselves and to ensure that they do not endanger other persons by their acts or omissions. Employees are also informed that they must co-operate with the organisation in order that it can comply with the legal requirements placed upon it and in the implementation of this policy. R J D Interiors Limited (Interior fit out specialists) will ensure continued consultation with the workforce to enable all viewpoints and recommendations to be discussed at regular intervals.
The organisation will ensure a systematic approach to identifying hazards, assessing the risks, determining suitable and sufficient control measures and informing employees of the correct procedures needed to maintain a safe working environment.
We will provide, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe places and systems of work, safe plant and machinery, safe handling of materials and substances, the provision of adequate safety equipment and ensure that appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision is given.
We regard all health and safety legislation as the minimum standard and expect management to achieve their targets without compromising health and safety.

Environmental Statement
At RJD Interiors we are committed to reducing the environmental impacts associated with all aspects of our business. We aim to achieve this by working towards the implementation of the ISO 14001 certified environmental management system (EMS).
RJD Interiors Ltd recognises the need for sustainable development and continually aims to improve the environmental effect of its activities, to achieve this we will:
Establish sound environmental management by:
- Meeting or improving upon relevant legislative, regulatory and environmental codes of practice.
- Developing objectives tat target environmental improvements and monitor performance by regular review.
- Considering any environmental issues in the decision-making process.
- Developing a relationship with suppliers and contractors so that we all recognise our environmental responsibilities.
- Educating staff so that they carry out their activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
Provide for the effective use of resources by:
- Promoting waste minimisation by recycling or finding other uses for by-products whenever economically viable.
- Promoting the efficient use of resources, energy and fuel throughout the organisation’s operations.
Co-operate with:
- The communities in which we operate.
- The Government, regulatory bodies and other interested parties with the shared vision of being a good and trusted neighbour.

Quality Statement
It is the policy of the Company to provide a reliable and efficient service to its Clients whilst conforming to the Company’s long term objectives and requisite statutory and safety regulations and to maintain Customer satisfaction.
In order to achieve this, the Company implements a fully integrated Documented Quality Management System, for which ultimate responsibility rests with the Managing Director. We are working towards QMS quality standard ISO9001.
The Documented Quality System ensures that the Company can fulfill contractual obligations by:
- Ensuring that all activities which directly affect the quality of service are carried out under controlled conditions.
- Continuous monitoring and analysis of quality indicators which provide the feedback to enable quality improvement, giving due regard to the human factor.
- Providing up to date instructions and training to all personnel together with the promotion of quality awareness.
- The Managing Director ensures that this policy is communicated, understood and implemented at all levels in the organisation.
